On December 21st, at the “China International Electric Vehicle and Charging Device and Energy Storage Technology Exhibition” held in Haikou, State Grid revealed its prospects and plans for promoting the large-scale development of electric vehicles during the “Twelfth Five-Year Plan” period.

According to reports, the State Grid will complete the "12th Five-Year" electric vehicle intelligent charging service network development plan in accordance with the "12th Five-Year" China's electric vehicle ownership reached 500,000, 800,000 and 1 million vehicles, priority Guarantee the demand for charging and replacing infrastructure construction in pilot cities, and build a smart charging and replacement service network.

Analysts believe that the key issue that originally restricts the development of China's energy-saving and new-energy vehicles is the installation of charging and replacing facilities. The introduction of the above-mentioned "Planning" has practical significance for solving this "difficult problem".

“The planning and construction of charging and replacing facilities should be incorporated into the local power grid planning. Only by ensuring reliable operation of the power grid can the electric power supply of electric vehicles be guaranteed.” The relevant person of State Grid Corporation told reporters.

As for the development model of intelligent charging and replacing service network, State Grid Corporation explained that through the integration of “three networks” technology of smart grid, Internet of Things and transportation network, the “three-oriented” management of network, information and automation will be implemented to achieve Electric vehicle users cover the same network, homogeneity and same price of “three” services across the region.

"Electric vehicle intelligent charging and switching service network bypasses the battery does not support fast charging, car manufacturers do not dare to manufacture electric vehicles on a large scale because there is no service network, and the distribution network is difficult to bear large-scale random charging load and other major bottlenecks." The person further explained to the reporter.

It is precisely in the context of the State Council's efforts to promote the four innovative demonstration projects of the intelligent charging and replacement service network. China's first inter-provincial electric vehicle inter-city interconnection project has been completed. The five service areas and nine intelligent charging and replacement stations of several expressways between Shanghai, Suzhou and Hangzhou involved in the project passed the acceptance test and were put into operation.

Since December, the electric vehicles that were originally limited by the cruising range have been able to walk freely between Shanghai, Suzhou and Hangzhou, realizing cross-provincial inter-city intercommunication.
