Mitsubishi Electric Provides Car Entertainment Information System for Volvo

Volvo Cars announced that Mitsubishi Electric will supply car entertainment information systems for all new Volvo models from 2013.

According to Stephen Jacobs, CEO of Volvo Cars, Mitsubishi Electric's leading knowledge and experience in in-vehicle entertainment information systems will bring Volvo's new cars to a whole new level.

Mitsubishi Electric will supply the core modules of the car entertainment information system for Volvo's new models. Volvo’s goal is to become a pioneer in the development of advanced in-vehicle connectivity technologies. This collaboration with Mitsubishi Electric is an important step towards its goal.

Volvo has developed a brand new Sensus multimedia information exchange system. Compared to Audi's MMI, BMW's iDrive and Mercedes' COMAND system, the Sensus multimedia information exchange system is currently the only driver in its class without having to leave the steering wheel. Completely control the six functions of multimedia, navigation, car phone and vehicle settings.
